Guilhermenz regressa aos lançamentos a solo com o EP “Hotel Savoy”.

Neste novo EP, Guilhermenz continua a transição do som de house moderno que tinha caracterizado a Balthazar Discos nos seus primeiros lançamentos para sonoridades mais velozes e pesadas, já mais perto do jungle e do dubstep. Sem nunca largar o cunho melódico e sonhador, notório nos seus lançamentos anteriores, agora os breaks e o baixo são o elemento-chave da primeira e última faixa, onde vozes sem corpo e sintetizadores technicolor servem de contraponto ao frenetismo das camadas de bateria e percussão.

Na faixa que dá nome ao disco, estamos em território mais familiar com um uk garage com cheirinho a gospel, próximo à nova vaga de produtores do Reino Unido que têm estado a atualizar o género.

Guilhermenz returns for a solo release with the new EP "Hotel Savoy".

In this new EP, Guilhermenz continues to transition from the modern house sound that characterised Balthazar Discos' first releases to faster and heavier sounds, closer to jungle and dubstep. Without letting go of his more melodic or dreamy side, evident in his earlier releases, the breaks and the bass are the protagonists of the first and last track, where disembodied voices and technicolor synths serve as counterpoint to the freneticism of the drums and percussion.

In the title track, we are on more familiar ground, with a uk garage tune with a gospel touch, close to the UK's new generation of producers of the genre.
